Killington Parish is on the western fringe of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, following the bank of the River Lune as it flows towards Kirkby Lonsdale,

The parish covers some 8 eight square miles, and consists of 97 houses and farms including the village of Killington and several other smaller hamlets and clusters of properties.
